7月29日，美国华盛顿，特朗普签署《“911”受害者赔偿基金法》。据悉，该法案将2020年到期的“911”受害者赔偿基金，延长70年至2090年。这将使政府在未来10年支付102亿美元赔偿金（约合700亿元人民币）。该基金系为“911”事件中的一线救援人员和受害者提供赔偿。2月，该基金负责人曾表示因资金短缺，未来赔偿金额会减少50%至70%。
