王荣, 1958年4月生，汉族，江苏滨海人，1976年10月加入中国共产党，1975年7月参加工作，学历研究生(南京农业大学农经系农业经济管理专业)，博士，教授、研究员。

现任中央候补委员，广东省委常委，深圳市委书记。

1975年7月-1978年3月，江苏省滨海县天场公社插队；

1978年3月-1982年2月，南京农学院农经系农业经济管理专业学习；

1982年2月-1985年2月，南京农学院农业经济管理专业硕士研究生；

1985年2月-1988年1月，南京农业大学农经系农业经济管理专业博士研究生；

1988年1月-1988年12月，南京农业大学农经系讲师；

1988年12月-1989年9月，南京农业大学农经系副教授；

1989年9月-1990年9月，南京农业大学经贸学院副院长；

1990年9月-1992年8月，南京农业大学校长助理(其间：1991年10月-1992年6月荷兰Tilburg大学进修)；

1992年8月-1994年5月，南京农业大学校长助理兼校长办公室主任(1993年国务院批准享受政府特殊津贴)；

1994年5月-1997年6月，南京农业大学副校长、教授(1994年12月)、博士生导师；1997年6月-1999年8月，江苏省农业科学院院长、党委副书记(1997年9月，研究员)；

Wang Rong, Han Nationality, born in April in 1958 in Binhai, Jiangsu Province, joined CPC in October in 1976, started work in July in 1975, with a Master and Ph.D’s Degree. He is now Alternate Member of the CPC Central Committee, Member of Standing Committee of CPC Guangdong Province and Secretary of Leading Party Committee of Shenzhen municipal government.
